Welcome to vineyard The Amsteltuin, a unique event location on the outskirts of Amstelveen in the green Amstelland. Here you’ll find peace, space, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a meeting, party, tasting, or day activities, you’ll quickly feel at home in The Amsteltuin.
Who we are
Six years ago, we, Annelies Kruijthoff and Douwe Woudstra, made the transition from office to vineyard The Amsteltuin. We chose the unique combination of working outdoors, being in direct contact with different target groups, and contributing meaningfully to Amstelveen and the surrounding area.

Vineyard
The vineyard forms the heart of The Amsteltuin. On just over one hectare, there are more than 3,500 vines of five grape varieties: Solaris, Johanniter, Souvignier Gris, Pinotin, and Cabernet Cortis. These are not classic, but hybrid grape varieties that ripen with a bit less sunlight. They are also more resistant to downy mildew.

Indoor spaces
For a successful event in the Amsteltuin, it doesn’t necessarily have to be nice weather. We have designed our spaces in such a way that everyone feels at home inside. From all spaces you look out over the vineyard, but in ‘t Glazen huis it feels like you are in the vineyard itself.
Our wines
It remains special: wines from North Holland that can compete with wines from traditional wine countries like France and Italy. We manage to create them with special grape varieties, proven techniques, the dedicated volunteers, and a lot of tender loving care.

Day activities
In the green surroundings and pleasant building, everyone quickly feels at home. People with disabilities enjoy coming here for relaxing day activities. Walking, listening to music, painting, gardening, helping in the vineyard… everything is possible, nothing in compulsory.
Volunteers
In the day activities, we prefer to work with fixed teams per day. In addition to one coordinator and two activities escorts, there are two or three volunteers who assist with activities for the clients. With familiar faces around them, our clients feel extra at home.
